Summer is all about plant supports. You may know about beans and tomatoes needing posts and cages, but did you know cucumbers and winter squash and melons like to vine and can be trellised? My hubs and I made these easels to support our vining friends. We added a little shelf for our phone, shears, water bottle, etc.
We gently guide the vines on to the trellises rather than tying them on. Their stalks are actually pretty fragile. Vertical gardening helps you get the most out of your garden real estate. Happy Summer warriors!
